Arcventure: The Romans takes your children on a simulated archaeological dig based on the actual Woodchester site in Gloucestershire. During the dig your children will unearth a range of Roman artefacts, some of which they can identify using the built-in database and some of which require them to journey back to ancient Rome.  When in Rome they can explore a Roman villa and question the Romans and Britons who work and live there. In this way, the ancient world is brought to life and the past is made as accessible as the present.

Equally suited for use by small groups or individuals, this CD-ROM provides an opportunity for role play which develops decision-making skills and encourages group discussion.  The Information Hut is a valuable database that children can interrogate to examine and identify artefacts and develop their research and deduction skills.  It also allows them to discover many characteristic features of the period and develop historical language.
